Photographs capture a moment and make that moment transcend through time. I went to California towards the end of January this year, when I didn’t know what would become of this year. What a luxury being outside and seeing other people go on with their lives is. I took these pictures in Venice Beach, a vibrant, photogenic place full of many different kinds of people. I hope these pictures feel like some kind of portal into these captured memories, the same way that postcards do.
